In my elementary student teaching placement, my students used an app called SeeSaw. There are many things that can be down with this program but one thing I used it for was for my guided reading groups. Two of my groups I only saw on Mondays and Fridays but I still wanted them to work with the reading during the week. To remedy this I shared a writing prompt with them. During the week the students had to reread the book and then get on SeeSaw and answer the prompt. Below are some screenshots of my students' work. The book was called The Treasure Hunt and the prompt that the students answered was, "What are some good rules to follow when doing a treasure hunt?" On Friday when we met again the students' and I reviewed what they wrote and they were able to add to their writings.
